Ireland 2: Day 10

04.19.18 | Place | Time

I love Limerick! Everyone here sounds like Colin Farrell- it’s outstanding! The temperature got up into the 60s today! It felt wonderful! This is the first day on this vacation that I was able to wear shorts and leave the jacket and coat behind.

I have to admit, I got a late start to the day. I’m not always good a relaxing and I sometimes have to remind myself that I don’t need to run a million miles per hour. The movie of the morning was Everything Is Illuminated. Very interesting, but I don’t’ think I want to buy it.

I walked over to look at St Mary’s Cathedral. I didn’t go inside because I was distracted by the cemetery outside. I’m all about the dead people. Also, I thought going into the cathedral, a place of worship, would be disrespectful in the shorts I was wearing. So I decided that I’ll come back tomorrow in long pants. While I was reading the headstones, I did another live stream on Periscope.

I walked near that place where the canal meets The River Shannon. It was a great view of a little marina, a walking trail, a park, and eventually a distant view of the cathedral and a castle, which I plan on checking out tomorrow.
